Serving Christ and spreading His kingdom from Union county to the world.

Welcome to Trinity!

Trinity Chapel can be summarized in three words: GATHERING, GROWING, and GOING.

We are a GATHERING church – In an era of incredible loneliness and isolation, the church is called to share the belonging and love of Christ. At Trinity Chapel, the lost and the lonely are welcomed into an encouraging fellowship of the Spirit. We eat meals together, we pray together, we live life together, not just on Sundays, but every day.

We are a GROWING church – The mission Jesus gave His church wasn’t just to make converts, but “disciples.” (Matthew 28:19) Our goal is that every soul would come to know Jesus Christ and then experience spiritual growth through the Holy Spirit working in them. We do this through biblical worship, expository preaching (preaching the text itself, not the preacher’s ideas), in-depth Sunday school classes, Bible studies, and Catechism teaching.

We are a GOING church – Every Christian is called to mission for Christ, whether that takes them across the ocean or across the street. God has equipped each believer with spiritual gifts to be used for the growth of His kingdom. Trinity Chapel rejects the modern attitude of “hiring the expert” in which pastors are paid to do the kingdom work. Pastors are given by God to train and equip the saints for the ministry. (Ephesians 4:11-12) Whether it’s helping at the local pregnancy center, leading a neighborhood Bible study, or going across the world to spread the gospel, we believe every Christian is called to a mission! Our ultimate mission is to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20) The burden of our hearts is for every man and woman, boy and girl, to hear the good news of Jesus Christ, be saved in His name, and follow Him all the days of their life.

Trinity Chapel holds to the authority of the Bible over all matters of faith and life, the Scriptures alone being the inerrant, infallible word of God.

Some of our distinctives include:
Weekly communion as the pinnacle of our services (not man-made “altar calls”, prayers, or performances)
Singing the Psalms in worship, just as Jesus and the apostles did
Expository preaching (i.e. explaining and applying the Biblical text to our lives, not preaching the pastor’s own ideas and cherry-picking verses to support them); usually preaching consecutively through entire books of the Bible
Presbyterian church government, where each congregation is led by pastors and elders, connected to the wider church through the regional presbytery and national Synod
