Trinity Chapel Charlotte seeks to obey our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to go and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them whatsoever He has commanded us. Going to make disciples means gathering—enfolding—others into the life of God in Christ.
The Great Commission is a comprehensive ministry that extends from faith in the adult believer, equipping the head of house to relate that Christian faith to his household, most often, his children, integrating this family into a worshipping and learning community—the local or parish church—and prepare this family to share their faith with others, including the next generation in their family.
This is the extraordinary and glorious task of the Church. Every pastor, every seminary, every resource at the disposal of the Church must be fashioned into this narrow channel: to enfold human beings into the life of our resurrected Savior Jesus the Lord.
Our church is founded upon a Biblical commitment: that the God-ordained rule of faith and practice—”the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, the breaking of bread and the prayers” (Acts 2:42)—is a supernatural means of spiritual growth. Thus, our members who have experienced the presence and power of the Holy Spirit go forward to tell others what God has done for them in Christ.
Thus, the growth of our parish church is not programmatic, but organic. We do not recruit, but enfold.
We invite you to join us in public worship. Learn about a small group Bible study that is near you, or one that interests you.
